Abstract:

Database containing records of entheseal changes in 33 entheses (left and right sides) from 134 skeletonized individuals from the El Olivar archaeological site (formerly parcels 105 and 106), part of the El Olivar Archaeological Salvage Project (Rescate Arqueológico El Olivar). The directors for this salvage project are Paola González and Gabriel Cantarutti, as part of the road improvement project “Mejoramiento Ruta 5, tramo La Serena-Vallenar Km.475.200-475.600, Región de Coquimbo” of the Ministerio de Obras Públicas. Rodrigo Retamal is responsible for compiling this database. This database also includes the estimated sex and age of each individual, as well as information on the presence of auditory exostoses, limb trauma, spondyloarthropathy, artifacts associated with textile production and hunting, and derived variables based on raw entheseal change data.
