Description

Primer Estudio Comunal de Discapacidad de la comuna de Cerro Navia, que constituye la primera radiografía en nuestro país que pesquisa la prevalencia de discapacidad a nivel comunal. En el estudio, que contó con apoyo de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, el Servicio Nacional de la Discapacidad, el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile, se encuestó a 1.024 personas, 716 entre 18 y más años y 308 entre 2 a 17 años. Uno de los resultados más relevantes es la prevalencia de las personas en situación de discapacidad en la comuna, que corresponde a un 36,9%, más del doble que la cifra a nivel nacional (16,7 %).
